பொங்கல் திருநாள்

பொங்கல் திருநாள் என்பது தை முதல் நாளில் கொண்டாடப்படும் பண்டிகை ஆகும். இது தொடர்ந்து நாலு நாட்கள் நடைபெறும். தமிழர்கள் கொண்டாடும் சிறந்த விழா பொங்கல் திருநாள் திருநாள் ஆகும். அதைபற்றி சுருக்கமாக காண்போம்.

போகி

போகி என்பது மார்கழியில் வரும் கடைசி நாளில் கொண்டாடப்படும் பண்டிகை. அன்று பழைய பொருட்களை எரிப்பதை வழக்கமாக வைத்துள்ளனர்.

இது "பழையன கழிதலும் புதியன புகுதலும்" என்ற வரிக்கு ஏற்ப நடத்தப்படும் விதி ஆகும். அடுத்து இருக்கும் பொங்கல் திருநாளை உலகம் எங்கும் இருக்கும் தமிழர்கள் கொண்டாடுவார்கள்.

பொங்கல்:

         தை முதல் நாள் அன்று கிராமத்தில் விவசாயம் செய்பவர்கள்  "ஆடி பட்டம் தேடி விதை" என்பதற்கு ஏற்ப விதைத்து அதை அறுவடை செய்து வரும் நெல்லில் இருந்து அரிசியை எடுத்து , பானையில் மஞ்சள் கொத்து மற்ற பொருள்களையும் வைத்து அலங்கரித்து பின்னர் அதில் பொங்கல் வைப்பார்கள். பொங்கல் பொங்கி வழியும் பொழுது "பொங்கலோ பொங்கல்" என சத்தம் போட்டு ஆரவாரமாக செயல்படுவார்கள். 

          இந்த விழாவின் முக்கியத்துவம், விவசாயம் செய்து பயிரை நல்ல படியாக செழிக்க வைத்து நாட்டு மக்களுக்கு முக்கியமாக தேவைப்படும் உண்ணும் பொருளான அரிசியை விளைவிக்க துணையாக இருந்த சூரிய பகவான், மாடுகள் , பிற உயிர்கள் மற்றும் இயற்கைக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தும் விதமாக இந்த பொங்கல் , மாட்டு பொங்கல் ஆகிய இரண்டும் கொண்டாடப் படுகிறது.

மாட்டுப் பொங்கல்:

        

 மாட்டு பொங்கல் அன்று பயிரை உழுவதர்க்கு உதவியாகவும், பாலை தரும் பசுவுக்கும் நன்றி செலுத்தும் விதமாக இந்த தினம் கொண்டாடப் படுகிறது. அது மட்டும் இன்றி மாட்டு பொங்கல் அன்று ஜல்லிக்கட்டு நடத்தி மாடு மற்றும் அதை அடக்கும் வீர ஆண் மகன்களையும் கவுரவிக்கும் விதமாக அமைகிறது. அத்துடன் இதை திருவள்ளுவர் தினம் எனவும் கூறுவார்கள். ஏனென்றால், இனம் , மதம், மொழியென எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் பொதுவாக அமைந்தது திருக்குறள். எனவே அதையும் சிறப்பிக்கும் முறையாக கொண்டாடப் படுகிறது.

காணும் பொங்கல்: 

           காணும் பொங்கல் உழவர் தினமாகவும் , கன்னி பெண்களுக்கு ஏற்ற தினமாகவும் கொண்டாடப் படுகிறது. கன்னி பெண்கள் பொங்கல் பானையை அலங்கரித்து வைத்துள்ள மஞ்சள் கொத்துகளைக் எடுத்து நடுத்தர அல்லது வயது முதிர்ந்த சுமங்கலிகள் கையில் கொடுத்து அந்த மஞ்சள் கொத்துக்களை வாங்கிக் கொண்டு அப்படியே அவர்களிடம் ஆசீர்வாதமும் வாங்கிக் கொள்வார்கள். காணும் பொங்கல் அன்று நிறைய விளையாட்டு போட்டிகளும் நடத்தப் படும், உறியடி விளையாட்டு மிகவும் முக்கியமானது ஆகும்.

        பொங்கல் நன்னாள் அன்று என்னவெல்லாம் நடக்கும் அது எதற்காக கொண்டாடப் படுகிறது என்பதை பற்றி சுருக்கமாக கூறியுள்ளேன்.

Pongal Thirunal

Pongal Thirunal is a festival celebrated on the first day of Tai. This will take place over four consecutive days. Pongal Thirunal Thirunal is the best festival celebrated by Tamils. Let’s look at that briefly.

Boogie

Bogi is a festival celebrated on the last day of March. It is customary to burn old items on that day.

This is the rule governed by the line "Old is gone and new is coming" . The next Pongal festival will be celebrated by Tamils ​​all over the world.

Pongal:

         On the first day of the month, the farmers in the village sow the seed according to the  "Audi degree search seed" and take the rice from the harvested paddy, decorate the pot with turmeric and other items and then place the pongal in it. During the Pongal Pongi, people shout "Pongalo Pongal" and act cheerfully. 

          The significance of this festival is that both Pongal and Maatu Pongal are celebrated as a way of giving thanks to the sun lord, cows, other living beings and nature who helped in cultivating the crop and producing rice which is the main food of the country.

Cow Festival:

This day is celebrated on Cow Pongal as a way of helping to plow the crop and giving thanks to the milking cow. Not only that, on Jalikattu on Cow Pongal, it is organized in honor of the cow and the brave male sons who tame it. It is also known as Thiruvalluvar Day . This is because Thirukural is common to all races, religions and languages. So it is also celebrated as a special occasion.

Kaanum Pongal: 

           Pongal is celebrated as a farmer's day and a day suitable for virgin women. The virgin girls take the yellow bouquets adorning the Pongal pot and hand them over to the middle or older porters and buy those yellow bouquets and receive blessings from them as well. There will be a lot of sports competitions on Kanu Pongal and Uriyadi game is very important.
